It’s a diet that is really rich in healthy fats, healthy protein, healthy fibre, and vitamins,” Dr Della Pisanis, the chief nutritionist at the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), told news.com.au.
“And it’s also rich in the antioxidants that the sweet potatoes contain.”
What you need to know about the sweet pea and its cousin, the sweetpotato article Sweet potatoes are one of the world’s oldest foods, having been domesticated more than 4,000 years ago.
They are used as a staple food in Europe, North America and parts of Asia.
They’re also eaten as a side dish and can be made into a bread or pasta.
Sweet potatoes can be cooked, baked or eaten raw, and can also be mashed into a creamy and sweet sauce, called a brie.
They also make a wonderful side dish, which you can buy in many different flavours.
“They are a pretty sweet, nutritious, delicious vegetable that’s very low in fat and calories,” Dr Pisanas said.
“The health benefits that sweet potatoes offer are really really powerful, and really really great for people, who can really use that energy.”
Sweet potatoes have a great nutritional profile.
They contain up to 25 per cent protein, and 20 per cent carbohydrates, and they are rich in vitamins A, C, K and magnesium.
Sweet potato protein is high in the amino acid methionine, which is one of five essential amino acids that are vital for good health.
Sweet potatos are high in folate, potassium and vitamin D, and contain up-to-10 grams of fibre.
You can also get more vitamins in sweet potatoes than in potatoes.
The amount of fibre in sweet potato is higher than in other vegetable vegetables, and the amount of vitamin D in sweetpotatoes is higher and more bioavailable than in vegetables.
The antioxidants contained in sweet potatos also help protect against the damaging effects of free radicals.
“There are so many antioxidants in sweet Potatoes that can protect you from free radicals,” Dr Ziegler said.
What are the health benefits of sweet potatoes?
The antioxidants in the sweet peas can help protect your body from the damaging free radicals and prevent chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
These antioxidants can also help to prevent and treat a range of other conditions, including cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.
“A lot of the evidence that’s been published suggests that sweet potato can actually prevent cancer and prevent other inflammatory disorders, including arthritis, but not just cancer,” Dr O’Connor said.
The health benefits also extend to other health problems, like heart disease, stroke and stroke-like symptoms, as well as obesity.
“You can’t do anything about your heart disease unless you eat a healthy diet,” Dr Nisbet said.
