Simple bread makes an ideal accompaniment to soup or stew, and it’s easy to make in a pinch.
You can also make a loaf of bread with just a few ingredients and have it baked in minutes.
Preparing your bread is easy:Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
Add the water and salt to the flour mixture and mix.
Add in the yeast, salt and sugar.
Cover and let rise for a few hours.
After the bread has risen, cut into slices.
Mix in the remaining flour and milk and mix until a dough forms.
Boil your bread in a heavy pan over medium-high heat until it’s bubbling, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, sour cream, olive oil, garlic, dried herbs, dried thyme, and oregano.
Add to the bread dough and stir until well combined.
Fill each loaf with the mixture and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
Cool breads before eating them.
Serve them with rice and noodles or rice and green salad.
